MACON - Deputies arrested two men Friday night in connection to methamphetamine.
Robert Lawson, 41, was arrested for production of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Jason Brower, 35, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
The arrests happened while deputies were serving a search warrant in the 1200 block of North Ruby Street according to a media release. Deputies said they could smell a strong chemical odor and found visible evidence of meth production in the home.
Deputies got a search warrant and found an active meth lab with evidence of multiple cooks and ongoing production. Lawson was arrested and taken to Macon County Jail. He was unable to post the $150,000 cash only bond and remains in custody.
During the search, deputies noticed Brower driving by the residence and knew he did not have a valid driver's license. Deputies stopped his vehicle and found meth inside. He was taken to Macon County Jail and posted the $10,000 bond.
