BOONVILLE - The Cooper County Sheriff's Department was dispatched around 10:30 Wednesday night to Passions Video on Old Five Drive near Route B and I-70 for an armed robbery.

Deputies said the suspect was armed with a semi-automatic handgun. The suspect entered Passions wearing a grey, hooded sweatshirt and demanded money from the working attendant. Sheriff Wolfe said the suspect pointed the handgun at the attendant during the robbery.

The suspect fled on foot with less than $200 in cash before deputies arrived. He was headed east when leaving the store.

No injuries or store damage was reported.

The suspect is said to be between 5'3" and 5'6".
