RANDOLPH COUNTY - Sheriff deputies responded to two separate shootings into one home this weekend.
A family renting a trailer off of Highway JJ near Huntsville were inside the home when shots ripped through the walls—once Friday night at about 9 p.m. and again Sunday at 3:30 a.m.
The trailer ended up with eight bullet holes: two through the front door, one through the roof and five more through the body of the trailer. Another bullet also shattered the back window of a family vehicle parked outside.
The family has one thirteen-year-old and another 10-year-old daughter. The shots did not injure anyone over the weekend.
The family said law enforcement advised them to not be filmed for safety concerns. Although, the mother said she is very grateful no one in her family was hurt. The family moved out of the trailer this morning to an undisclosed location.
According to Chief Deputy Nevin Turner, the Randolph County Sheriff's Department responded to both shootings at the home. Deputies recovered bullets and casings from the weapon. Turner would not release any suspect information because the investigation is ongoing.
