Draft Horse and Mule Sale Begins
COLUMBIA - The Boone County Draft Horse and Mule Sale began Wednesday. Even with a rainy start, hundreds of people gathered for the sale.
The sale runs for four days at the Boone County Fairgrounds. Farm equipment, machinary, wagons, saddles and more farm items were the first things sold on Wednesday.
Thursday will start the sale of draft horses, followed by ponies and riding horses on Friday. Saturday will consist of all mule sales.
The sale happens two times a year and is the largest in Missouri. One hudnred to 200 draft horses are expected to be sold this year along with a lot of mules.
