SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Missouri Rep. Eric Burlison says someone ran his car off of Interstate 44 near Springfield, one of a string of accidents caused by the same driver.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a man was arrested after hitting several other vehicles on the interstate between Strafford and Northview Wednesday night. The patrol says the driver was speeding while side-swiping and clipping the backs of other vehicles.

None of the drivers, including Burlison, was seriously hurt.

Burlison posted on his Facebook account that someone driving a black Chevy Avalanche ran his car off the interstate.

He says the driver raced to get to his car and clipped the back of his vehicle. Burlison says his vehicle went spinning into guard rails, which he says saved his life.
