Early Morning Grass Fire Contained Near Discovery Parkway

COLUMBIA - Firefighters responded around 3 a.m. to a reported grass fire on the outer road of Ponderosa Street off Highway 63 this morning.

Firefighters said a hay bale caught fire, but no cause is known at this time.

The fire was contained and there are no reports of injuries or structure damages.
