Early Morning Mobile Home Fire in Columbia
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Fire Department responded to a report of a residential structural fire at 3:19 a.m. Thursday. The structural fire took place at 5301 St. Charles Road in north-eastern Columbia.
At 8:25 a.m. Boone County Fire and Columbia Fire crews arrived on the scene. The crews put out the fire within ten minutes of their arrival.
At the time of the fire there were approximately nine occupants in the structure. Two individuals were transported to the Hospital. One infant was transported for smoke inhalation and one adult was transported for lacerations. A second adult that was injured with lacerations was treated at the scene.
It is unknown if smoke detectors were present, and what woke the occupants. The fire damage estimate is not available at this time.
