Earthquake hits southern Missouri
STEELE - Some people in southern Missouri were awakened late last night by a small earthquake.
The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 4.0 magnitude earthquake around 10:50 last night near Steele, Mo.
Steele is located in the boot-heel near the Arkansas and Tennessee borders.
A station in Cape Girardeau said there are no injuries or damage reported.
One resident in Oran, Mo. said there was a loud bang and her plants started shaking.
