Eastern Mo. Woman Claims Sexual Assault by Two Strangers
WASHINGTON - Authorities in Franklin County are investigating a St. Louis woman's report that she was sexually assaulted after exiting an interstate highway.
The Washington Missourian reports that the incident allegedly happened Sunday in Villa Ridge. The 33-year-old woman told police she was traveling on Interstate 44 and missed an exit, so she took the next exit and stopped to try and get directions.
The woman says two men saw her and approached her vehicle, one with a knife, the other with a gun. She told authorities she was sexually assaulted, cut with the knife and struck by the gun.
She was treated and released at a hospital.
