Edwards Finishes Just Outside Top 10 in Martinsville
MARTINSVILLE, VA -- Carl Edwards scored an eleventh-place finish in Sunday's 500-lap Sprint Cup race at Martinsville Speedway.
"That's a good recovery," said Edwards. "We weren't that fast, so we've got some things we need to work on here. It looks like Matt (Kenseth) was pretty good, so we'll compare notes with him, but that's a long day. It feels like you got stuck in a room with Mike Tyson and he's not happy."
With the finish Edwards moved up to 11th in the Sprint Cup Standings. Edwards also provided some April Fools humor during the race. On lap 354 when he informed his Crew Chief Bob Osborne that the transmission on the No. 99 Ford was blown.
Next weekend the series takes Easter weekend off before returning to action in two weeks at Texas Motor Speedway.
