Electricity Usage Fees Increasing Next Month

JEFFERSON CITY -- About 1.2 million electrical customers will see an increase in power usage next month after the Missouri Public Service Commission approved a request today by Ameren Missouri. The approval increases the fuel and purchased power adjustment charge (FAC) for customers.
An average customer uses 1,100 kilowatt-hours monthly and currently pays $1.74 per month. Now, those residents will pay $3.17 a month.
Ameren said the increase is due to off-system sales revenue during October 2011 through January 2012
