Ellis Library Arson Suspect Faces Federal Indictments

COLUMBIA - The suspect in the September 2011 fire at MU's Ellis Library faces federal charges of arson for the fire at MU and a separate fire at Stephen's College.
Christopher C. Kelley, 25, was federally indicted June 27 as a result of both fires. The fire at Stephen's College was set in May 2011.
The fires combined resulted in over $600,000 in damages and resulted in Ellis Library being closed for renovations.
Kelley has been appointed a public defender and could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
