COLUMBIA - Everybody Eats founder Almeta Crayton said she expects to feed 600 to 800 people at the food drive's Thanksgiving dinner Thursday. The dinner will take place at the Stamper Commons dining hall at Stephens College from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Crayton was concerned volunteers would not get enough donations to feed everyone who attends the dinner. She was also worried there would not be enough food to fill Thanksgiving food baskets for families that signed up in advance. Thanks to community donations and a donation of about 300 turkeys from Veterans United, Crayton said the program gave out more than 1,600 food baskets earlier in the week.

Crayton also said if you would still like to donate food items, you can drop them off at her house at 409 Oak St. in Columbia Wednesday night. You can also drop off donations at Stephens College starting at around 8 a.m. Thursday.
