The extremely high temperatures have caused a few Missouri towns to cancel or postpone their July 4th firework displays.

Boonville and Lost Valley Lake Resort have both postponed their shows.

Freeburg Lions Club and Holts Summit have cancelled theirs.

As of now, Columbia and Jefferson City fireworks are still on.

UPDATE:

California and Kingdom City have also cancelled their firework shows due to the heat.

California plans to reschedule for a later date.
