The third annual True/False Film Festival's 40 screenings opened Thursday and run through Sunday. Among this year's offerings are "The Heart of the Game," featuring a girl's high school basketball team in Seattle, and "Black Gold," which tracks coffee growers in poverty-stricken Ethiopia. The Columbia festival doesn't attract big-name dealmakers looking for the next big hit, but some of its offerings do get wider notice. "Murderball," about wheelchair-bound rugby players, played in Columbia last year and is now nominated for an Academy Award. The annual event drew about 4,000 spectators in its first year and 6,600 in 2005. This year, organizers expect attendance to top 8,000.
