Fans Flood Faurot
COLUMBIA -- August 5th was Fan Day at Faurot Field! Thousands of Mizzou fans came out to meet the Tiger football team and get some autographs from the players and coaches. The gates opend at 3:45, and fans stormed onto the field with t-shirts, footballs and posters for the team to sign.
Fan favorites included offensive lineman Elvis Fisher, wide receiver T.J. Moe, and highly touted new-comer Dorial Green-Beckham. Fans had an hour and a half to hangout on the field and chill with the team.
Sixth year senior Elvis Fisher said, "I'm pretty excited. I like fan day. The fans, they go through it all with us, the ups and downs, and they're there to support us through every game, so I'm looking forward to it."
Senior T.J. Moe said, "Probably have a lot more fans this year... I think the buzz around town is a little bit different than it's been, and people come from a little bit around, and there's a guy named Dorial that people want to meet."
The incoming freshman, whose playing is highly anticipated, said, "I enjoy the fans being there and supporting me and stuff like that, but there's a part of me where I just got to get past that, like thanks for all that and stuff like that, but I gotta be focused. I gotta stay focused when I'm out there on the field. I can't be worried about the fans or anything like that, I can't be worried about anybody, I just gotta stay focused and help my team out on what we need to do to win."
