COLUMBIA - The 107 FastCat Express Route enacted changes to stop locations and times Monday in response to passenger feedback.
After only a few months of service, FastCAT is already tweaking its schedule in order to shorten wait times and make transfers to other transit systems easier. Some stops along the route have been shifted slightly while others were completely removed.
The transfer location that was originally at the corner of Tenth and Walnut streets has now been shifted east to Orr Street. With this change, FastCAT riders will now have easier access to Wabash Station to be able to ride other transit routes.
FastCAT's marketing specialist, Christa Holtzclaw, said that these small changes were made in an effort to improve on the existing system.
When FastCAT first launched, buses were supposed to run on 15-minute intervals between stops, but instead have been running on 20-minute invervals. After the changes, wait times should be back to the planned 15 minutes.
