FBI Interviewing Former Fee Office Agents
A former Missouri contract agent said she's been contacted several times in the past ten days by agents from the FBI. She said other former contractors who ran the so-called fee offices have also been interviewed as well.An FBI spokesman said the agency won't confirm nor deny an investigation. Missouri has 183 offices run by private contractors that collect vehicle sales taxes and drivers' license fees for the state. The contracts usually go to loyal supporters of the governor. The former contractor said the FBI is asking if anything unusual happened after Blunt took office last year, including third-party management efforts.
