February Marks Snowpocalypse One Year Anniversary
COLUMBIA - February 1st marks the one year anniversary of Snowpacolypse in mid-Missouri.
Cities throughout mid-Missouri reported getting about 18 inches of snow. Columbia Public Works spent approximately $500,000 to clear the roads while Jefferson City spent about $250,000 to clear the roads, $100,000 of which was spent on salt alone.
It took Columbia officials about two days to clear most of the roads and spent about a week total on the roads.
Jefferson City officials took 12 days to clear the roads.
