Fenton Workers Voting On Contract
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Voting is under way for UAW workers at one of two Chrysler plants in suburban St. Louis. The 1,800 members of United Auto Workers Local 136 in Fenton are among the first to vote whether to accept a tentative four-year deal with the automaker. Locals at all 21 of Chrysler's North American factories are expected to vote by Sunday. Chrysler operates two plants in Fenton. Local 136 workers make pickups at the North plant, while Local 110 workers make minivans at the South plant. Local 110's vote is tomorrow. The Local 136 vote continues through 8 p.m., with results expected to be announced tonight.
