Fire Department training creates simulated smoke at Sigma Nu fraternity
COLUMBIA - The Columbia Fire Department is practicing near the University of Missouri campus this week. The department will create simulated smoke in and around the Sigma Nu fraternity house Monday, May 23, and Tuesday, May 24, at 710 South College Ave.
The Fire Department is training on rapid intervention techniques and firefighters entering a structure to rescue a downed firefighter.
The training takes place between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.
