COLUMBIA - Family, friends and fans prepared Friday for the second week of high school football season in mid-Missouri. (See part two of our live blog for scores and more.)

Before kick-off, temperatures remained pleasent making it a perfect night to enjoy some football.

The Game of the Week features the Southern Boone County Eagles verses the South Callaway Bulldogs. Both teams won big on their season-opening games; South Callway won 45-7 over Putnam County High School, Southern Boone County shut out St. Pius X 50-0. This week, they'll be facing off to preserve a winning record.

Notable match-ups this week include Columbia's Hickman High School facing off against Lee's Summit. Former Lee's Summit standout quarterback Drew Lock will be dressing in Missouri black and gold to play for the Mizzou Tigers this season.

Tweet your game photos to @komunews or @komusports. Instagram works too, @komunews.

Part one of our live blog (below) includes scores and photos from across the region.
