Former Moberly school bus driver pleads guilty to sex crimes
MOBERLY - A former Moberly school bus driver pleaded guilty Wednesday to sex crimes involving his nephew.
37-year-old John Wolverton pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree statutory sodomy. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the crimes.
A probable cause statement said from May 2013 to March 2015, Wolverton repeatedly touched and attempted to have sex with his nephew, who was 15 years old when the incidents began.
The Moberly School District confirmed Thursday Wolverton was a bus driver until spring 2014. It wasn't clear why Wolverton was no longer employed.
