Former President Carter hits Bush Policies
Carter's book is called "Our Endangered Values: America's Moral Crisis." In it, he makes the case that basic American values are being left in the dust. The Georgia Democrat says his critique is about more than Democrats versus Republicans. He says the policies put forth by the Bush administration are different from those of other Republican presidents including George Bush Senior, Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan. Carter is particularly critical of the handling of the Iraq war, abuse of prisoners and the growth of the federal deficit.
