Former VP nominee to speak at Missouri State conference
Former North Carolina Senator John Edwards drew large crowds in two stops at the university during the campaign. Anticipating another big turnout for his speech, organizers have moved the location of his appearance from the student union to the larger Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. Last year's initial conference drew 3,200 people. Co-chairman John Strong, an assistant to Missouri State President Michael Nietzel, said he's hoping to nearly double that. Other speakers at the three-day event include the university's former president, John Keiser, and former Arkansas Senator David Pryor.
