Four arrested after heroin overdoses hospitalized two
OSAGE COUNTY - Four people are in custody at the Osage County Jail following incidents of drug distribution and overdose according to a news release from the Osage County Sherriff's Office.
Sherriff's Deputies responded to what were believed to be several heroin overdoses at a motor-cross event at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 2. Deputies and Investigators from the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group were at the event interviewing persons of interest for several hours.
One unresponsive female was airlifted from the scene and another male patient was transported by ambulance.
Deputies arrested 28-year-old Nakia Lewis, 27-year-old Christopher Mitchell, 23-year-old Taylor Cundiff and 22-year-old Quentin Tinsley.
The four of them have not been formally charged, but charges are being sought for distribution of a controlled substance. Investigators also seek to charge Mitchell with unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Lewis and Mitchell are on probation for posession of a controlled substance.
