Four Columbia College men's basketball players earn AMC honors

COLUMBIA - The American Midwest Conference released its 2014-15 men's basketball awards Wednesday and four Columbia College Cougars were recognized.

Both senior forward Tanner Sutton and junior guard Zach Rockers, were selected for AMC first-team All-Conference honors. Sutton is shooting 50% from the field this season and is Columbia's leading scorer, averaging 12.7 points per game and adding 5.6 rebounds per game. Rockers is second on the team in scoring, averaging 10.7 points per game, while shooting 40% from three-point range.

Junior guard Chantel Stanciel was named to the AMC third-team, averaging seven points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and 3.1 assists per game. 

Finally, senior forward Jeremy Nolen made the AMC honorable mention team. Nolen is averaging 7.3 points per game, 3.3 rebounds per game and shooting 49% from the field.
