Four Shootings Rock Columbia in Less Than Ten Days
COLUMBIA - Columbia Police are working hard to keep the public updated following a string of violence in Columbia over the past few days.
The shooting that occurred in the parking lot of a laundromat off Conley Road on Sunday marked the first deadly shooting Columbia has seen this summer. 25-year-old Anthony Unger of Jefferson City was found unconscious in the parking lot with multiple gun shot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police made two arrests in connection with this shooting late Monday night.
Another shooting occured Sunday morning on Bodie Drive. Police responded to shots fired at a house party and found one 19-year-old man had been shot in the leg.
Another shooting occurred at Lakewood Apartments Friday, however no one was injured in the shooting. Kimo Spivey and Tabisha Franklin are wanted for assault with a tire tool.
Finally, the downtown shooting on the corner of 10th and Broadway left three people shot.
