Fresh Start for Tigers
The new players are learning the ropes while realizing college basketball is a year-round game.
"Usually basketball season doesn't start until October," said Tiller. "[We're] Going to 6 a.m. workouts on the first day of school."
Lawrence added, "[I'm] Just trying to stay out here and learn my teammates better. We got a chance of doing a lot of big things and I'm just trying to stay focused, but it's a big transition from high school to college."
Luckily, veterans like Brown can help.
"Some social things go on," he said. "How to get here, how to get there, how to get to class."
Tiller responded, "I got lost, so if Marshall is showing me around, then he is showing me around in the wrong direction."
But, that shouldn't be a problem as long as the Tigers can find the right way on the court. You can see how the team's doing, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday during an open session in Mizzou Arena.
