MEXICO, Mo. - According to a release posted on the Mexico Department of Safety's Facebook page, bail bond agents went to Oakcrest Trailer Court around noon Friday to arrest a fugitive on warrants from Callaway and Cooper Counties.
The suspect escaped after having a gun fired at him by officials. He was chased and eventually caught. The East Central Drug Task and the Mexico Public Safety Department assisted the Audrain County Sheriff's Office in the investigation. The suspect's bond is set at $42,500.
