Fulton man airlifted following Highway 54 crash
CALLAWAY COUNTY - A Fulton man suffered serious injuries in a rollover crash on Highway 54 Sunday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened at 12:28 p.m. on the highway's eastbound lanes near Route BB between New Bloomfield and Fulton.
According to the patrol, 82-year-old Norman L. Porter of Fulton, driving a 2014 Fiat 500, pulled into the path of a 2004 Ford F-250 driven by 55-year-old Richard D. Wiseman, also of Fulton. Wiseman's truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned. Porter's car came to a stop, blocking the eastbound lanes of the highway.
Wiseman, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered serious injuries. Medics airlifted him to University Hospital via Staff for Life, according to MSHP.
University Hospital said Monday Wiseman's condition had been udpated to good.
Porter, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured in the crash.
