Fulton Man Arrested on Drug Charges
COLUMBIA - A deputy assigned to the Boone County Sheriff's Department Traffic Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle for a registration violation at approximately 7:54 p.m. Friday on southbound U.S. Highway 63 at Missouri 740 (Stadium Blvd).
The vehicle was a truck with passenger car plates.
During the traffic stop, a passenger of the vehicle was identified as 24 year old Gerald Dean Wolfe of Fulton,MO. It was determined there was an active probation violation warrant for Wolfe's arrest. The original charge from which the probation warrant stemmed was for distribution of a controlled substance. Based on the active warrant, Wolfe was arrested.
During a search incident to Wolfe's arrest, several small packages of marijuana were found concealed on his person. The marijuana was packaged and concealed in a manner that indicated Wolfe's intent to distribute the marijuana. The total weight of the marijuana was in excess of 35 grams.
In addition to the arrest for the warrant, Wolfe was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (RSMO 195.211).
Wolfe is currently incarcerated at the Boone County Jail. The bond for the warrant is set at$25,000.00. The bond for the charge of possessing a controlled substance with intent to distribute must be set by a judge and has yet to be set.
Wolfe is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
