FULTON - Deputies from the Callaway County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged a Fulton man Sunday for statutory rape after deputies said they had discovered his possible involvement with a missing Callaway County teen.
The department said a 16-year-old female juvenile from Fulton was dropped off at a Kingdom City business at 8 p.m. on Saturday, and did not return home. The department said a deputy found the juvenile was possibly with 22-year-old Jerry Bailey, who is currently on probation for felony stealing.
On Sunday evening, deputies said the juvenile was located in Fulton and deputies confirmed the girl had been with Bailey. Deputies located Bailey around 10:15 p.m. Sunday night and made an arrest. Bailey has been charged with statutory rape, endangering the welfare of a child and allowing a minor to consume liquor.
