FULTON - The Fulton Police Department announced officers arrested a man Friday night for allegedly attempting to steal from a local service shop.
Officers said they observed suspicious activity near the Par 5 Service Center at 203 East 2nd Street and found 51-year-old Thomas Travis Byrd attempting to flee the scene. Officers said he entered the shop using a stolen key and was taken into custody.
Byrd was charged with burglary and felony stealing. He was taken to the Callaway County Jail on a $9,000 bond.
