Fulton Police Discover 31 Pounds of Marijuana on Incoming Plane

FULTON - At approximately 12:30 a.m. Friday morning, Fulton police officers were dispatched to the Fulton airport in response to a non-responsive plane.

The plane allegedly landed and was not responding to the FAA so police were notified. When officers made contact with the pilot and passenger, the passenger admitted to having marijuana on board.

During the course of a search, officers discovered two duffel bags containing around 31 pounds of high-grade hydroponic marijuana.

The pilot, Russell Hansen, of Wynanntskill, NY was arrested for trafficking of a controlled substance and was booked into the Callaway County jail. His bond is set at $50,000.

The passenger, Jacob Beatty-Martinez of Bakersfield, CA was arrested and charged with trafficking of a controlled substance, also with a $50,000 bond.

The total street value of the marijuana is estimated at $450,000. The investigation is ongoing.
