Gov. Nixon Abandons Taiwan Trip, Quiet About Reason
JEFFERSON CITY - Governor Nixon is refusing to answer questions after abandoning plans for a trade trip to Taiwan. That trip is worth $600 million for Missouri exporters.
The trade trip was supposed to start Friday. Late last week, Nixon's office issued a one-sentence statement--No trip for now because of "travel changes."
Nixon walked away twice in the past two days without taking questions. Spokesman Scott Holste is tight-lipped too.
