Gov. Nixon Honors Troops At State Fair
SEDALIA - Governor Nixon made his way down to the state fair Sunday to show his support for the troops on Military Appreciation Day.
The event kicked off with patriot guard riders revving their engines and showing their spirit. Officers from Kuwait and Afghanistan were able to join the ceremony via skype. The governor and military leaders gave speeches honoring the troops.
"To our veterans and our active military for World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan:thank you for all you have done, on our behalf. A debt we cannot repay," Nixon said.
