Greektown Undergoes Mass Clean Up After Celebration
COLUMBIA - Students at the University of Missouri joined together for a mass clean up after an enormous celebration in MU's Greektown last night. After the news of the death of Al Queda leader, Osama Bin Laden, an estimated 3,000 people fled the streets of Greektown to celebrate.
Starting around six on Monday morning until after four in the afternoon, students put their gloves on and went to work. Richmond Avenue was the central location of the celebration and was ransacked with broken bottles, toilet paper and plastic blow up dolls. Surrounding streets looked identical. The community made sure that the area was cleaned thoroughly after the night the community had just experienced.
