Habitat Home Finished
"I'm not feeling it yet. Maybe when I get home tonight and absorb it all, I'll start feeling it," said Tunmire.
House that Greeks Built is an MU student organization that partners with Habitat for Humanity. The Greeks sponsor an entire house-building project, and this helps habitat for humanity financially.
"Whole house sponsorship, and the labor to do it, really boosts our budget .... stretches it, makes it go a long way," said Bill View, Executive Director of Habitat Humanity.
Although the house was built in only 20 days, Melissa says it's a place she can call home for 20 years.
"I'm actually gonna be able to put things on the wall, and call it a permanent place. Put roots down. I haven't been able to do that ... I can't remember, I can't remember being able to do that."
Each Habitat for Humanity home is bought by the family on a 20 year no-interest loan.
