JEFFERSON CITY -- Helias senior soccer player Madi Nichols officially signed with Columbia College to play in Fall 2012.

Nichols was named second-team all district as a junior and is a team captain this year. She will be a part of the very first women's soccer team at Columbia. The program was officially announced in August.

"Head Coach John Klein and I couldn't be happier to have Madi become part of the first women's program at Columbia College," stated assistant head coach Jon Desha. "The level of soccer she brings as a consistant performer on the field will no doubtedly add strength to our roster. She has been a part of a soccer program that regularly competes for championships and we believe she will bring that winning mentality with her to Columbia College."
