Help On the Way for Laid-Off Hostess Workers
JEFFERSON CITY - The Missouri Rapid Response Team will host a meeting Friday morning for laid-off Hostess workers in the Jefferson City area.
The Missouri Career Center at 10:30 in the morning, representatives from the local Central Region Workforce Investment Board will meet with laid-off employees to help them file for unemployment insurance and give them information on local job openings.
Missouri is not the only state helping out its Hostess employees. Louisiana's Workforce Commission and other organizations helped out their local employees, and Maine's Rapid Response Team pitched in as well for their employees. Ogden, Utah and Waterloo, Iowa are also hosting specialized job fairs for employees.
