Hickman High School coach to remain for season prep
COLUMBIA - Hickman High School football coach Arnel Monroe and his lawyer said Monday Monroe will continue to coach the Kewpies during summer practices following his DWI arrest Sunday morning.
Monroe's lawyer, Bogdan Susan, said he could not speak further about the ongoing legal issue.
Monroe told KOMU 8 News he was holding practice Monday afternoon, but it was closed to the media.
Columbia police arrested Monroe early Sunday morning at a DWI checkpoint for driving while intoxicated. This is his second DWI arrest in Columbia.
KOMU 8 News has not received comment from Hickman High School or the Columbia Public School District on Monroe's arrest.
