HIGH POINT - The remnants of Hurricane Isaac didn't rain on this Moniteau County town's parade Saturday as current and former residents gathred for High Point's 20th annual homecoming.

Marlene Snyder, president of the High Point Community Renewal Association, said this was the first time organizers had had to deal with any significant rain. She said nobody complained about the weather, although some activities were moved into High Point School. The rain held off during the homecoming parade, which Snyder said in some years is "longer than our town."

Former residents Mike Phillips and his son, Clay, said they enjoy coming back to High Point during homecomings and on ordinary weekends. Both men said their favorite part about homecoming is getting to see old friends.
