MORGAN COUNTY - A Sedalia man remains in jail after a high speed chase ended in Benton County Thursday morning.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office was informed that fugitive, Joshua J. Gresham, 27 of Sedalia, was seen driving a white Plymouth car toward Stover, Missouri. Morgan county deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspect failed to yield to law enforcement. The chase continued into Pettis and Benton counties, reaching speeds of more than 105 miles per hour.

Around 8 a.m., the suspect's vehicle crashed in Benton County. The driver fled on foot, and was finally apprehended by law enforcement. Gresham was found with possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, and $2,600 in cash.

Gresham was treated at the scene and sent to Morgan County jail. A 16-year-old female passenger was sent to Bothwell Hospital for minor injuries.

Gresham was wanted for an outstanding warrant from the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole for a parole violation. He was also wanted for two outstanding warrants in Pettis County.

Gresham was also involved in a multi-county pursuit in April. Charges are pending on the incident.

Gresham is being held in the Morgan County jail without bond.
