HIV Transmission Suspect Charged
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Former sexual partners of a 26-year-old man
infected with HIV are being asked to come forward or be tested for
the virus that causes AIDS now that the man has been accused in
Missouri and Illinois of knowingly spreading it.
Patrick Gregory is jailed in southwestern Illinois' Madison
County on $100,000 bond on one count of criminal transmission of
HIV. That's a felony.
Gregory, who court records show has both St. Louis and Illinois
addresses, also faces three felony counts in St. Louis of knowingly
Bond on those charges is set at $250,000.
Collinsville police say at least one other police agency in
southwestern Illinois is investigating Gregory.
Gregory does not have a listed home telephone number. Online
court records do not show him having an attorney.
