Officers had contact with the hotel clerk who reported the incident. The clerk said the suspect entered the hotel lobby and claimed his vehicle was broken down. The suspect requested to stay in the lobby until someone came to pick him up. After about 20 minutes, the suspect showcased a small caliber handgun and demanded money. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect then took the clerk's car keys and stole her gold 2004 Grand Prix. The suspect left the area in an unknown direction of travel. The clerk was not injured during the robbery.
