Holts Summit Man Sentenced in Case Involving Baby's Death
FULTON — The Callaway County Courthouse confirmed the sentencing of the man involved in the death of a nine-month-old boy Monday.
The courthouse told KOMU over the phone that they arrested and charged Bryan Sartor has been sentenced seven years in prison and five years probation.
In June 2012, the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney charged Sartor and his girlfriend Megan Ayres with child endangerment, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ayres is the mother of the child. Both of them were new residents of Holts Summit at the time of the incident. The child's mother was sentenced to five years in prison in January.
Police officials said Sartor and Ayres admitted to using methamphetamines before the two found the baby, who was left unattended for nearly 12 hours.
Ayres' second child, a two-year old girl, was put into protective custody by workers from Missouri Social Services.
Previous press releases stated that after the autopsy and toxicology report for the 9-month-old, additional charges could be filed.
