House Speaker Jones Responds to Koster's Gun Control Letter
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Republican Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones is dismissing a letter sent to lawmakers by Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster as "politically motivated."
Koster's letter urged lawmakers to think twice before voting to override a gubernatorial veto of a bill attempting to nullify some federal gun control laws.
Jones says in a written statement that the bill "seeks to affirm our rights as a state.
