LINN - Three Rivers Electric Cooperative said approximately 890 members still lacked power as of Wednesday at noon, down from 4,900 members at the height of the storm.
According to a release from the cooperative, most outages occurred in Cole, Miller and Moniteau counties. A span of overhead line that crossed Highway 54 fell during the storm due to the weight of the snow, shutting down all four lanes of the highway temporarily. In Eldon's Countryside Estates, an overhead line that fed the underground service lines created an outage.
The Three Rivers Electric Cooperative crews received help from the Black River Cooperative in Fredericktown, Citizen's Electric Corporation in Ste. Genevieve and Gasconage Electric Cooperative in Dixon on Wednesday morning.
