Hunting Brings Benefits
"We do seventy percent of our business during the last four months of the year. It's a very seasonal business getting everybody else ready to go hunting," Carl Armontrout, an employee at Powder Horn Guns said.
Hunters purchase tags, ammunition, and clothing.
"We'll usually spend 50 to 100 dollars per deer season. We make sure we have the necessary clothes, boots, and gloves that we need," deer hunter Ralph Twellman said.
For some the season is just for sport. Others depend upon it for survival.
"I'd say ninety percent of the processors would be out of business if it weren't for deer season," Crain said.
Firearm deer hunting season ends next Tuesday.
